We here at Done and Done love to hear about DIY short cuts that save us time, money, and a trip on the subway. Which is why we were so excited to read about this home recipe for jewelry cleaner posted by Popsugar! Instead of harsh and goopy cleansers, the recipe creates a chemical reaction between salt, baking soda, and aluminum foil – called an ion transfer – that cleans metals. SCIENCE!

It’s natural, eco-friendly, and it works. Brilliant!
