Stress Free Entertaining

In our opinion, the greatest benefit to having an organized home is that entertaining becomes a breeze. Having friends and family over can be a great source of joy if you don’t have to worry about the state of your home, and last minute get-togethers or a neighbor dropping by unexpectedly doesn’t have to be cause for alarm.

We enjoy alfresco entertaining, in particular, because the atmosphere is typically casual and laid back. Fresh air, outdoor activities and open spaces all lend themselves to a festive gathering.

Next Level Entertaining

While you don’t need anything special to make your event a success, we’ve pulled together a few things that we think will take your outdoor space to the next level.

Seating

Good comfortable seating is always a plus. We love this dining set for just that reason. A great dinner conversation won’t have to be cut short due to picnic table fanny fatigue!

Every good gathering needs a kids table, and we think it’s a must for outdoor dining. The adults at your party shouldn’t have to deal with sticky popsicles and watermelon seeds! This colorful table and chair set is perfect for all the little ones running around in your backyard.

Carts

Of course food and drinks are essential, and having a system for keeping everything organized outside means you’ll have more time to enjoy your guests and less time running back and forth to the kitchen.

We love this little rolling bar cart because it takes up a minimal amount of floor space but the double tier will hold all your beverages safely.

If you need a cart that’s more substantial, this one will do the trick. It can hold food, drinks, plates and glasses and you can move it from kitchen to patio with ease. Of course, the best feature is the additional ice bin!

A useful accessory to your cart is this silverware carrier. We’re trying hard to cut down on single use plastic, and this caddy makes bringing utensils from your kitchen drawers to the outdoor table a simple task.

Decorative Accessories

We enjoy decorating our outside spaces as much as our inside ones. There are so many unique, colorful ways to make your deck, patio and backyard into a welcoming area. We picked just a few things that will add to the atmosphere, but the choices are endless!

Outdoor rugs are such a great way to elevate your space. Choose a bright, fun pattern and you’ll have an instant upgrade!

Seat cushions are affordable way to add pizzaz and style without having to commit to a large piece of furniture. If you’re intimidated by color, these small pops can be a great way to make your neutrals seem more festive.

Lighting sets the tone both indoors and out, but the benefit to outdoor lighting is that you can go solar! This flameless lantern would be a great addition to any style and it will always be ready to go!

Last But Not Least

Everyone knows that the big drawback to eating outdoors is bugs. You may have set the perfect table, cooked an amazing meal, and invited all your favorite people but if you’re backyard is buggy, all your efforts will be wasted. We try to stay away from chemical-laden repellents and this candle fits the bill!

The Key To Successful Outdoor Entertaining

It’s always nice to make your guests feel welcome and appreciated, so going the extra mile is a great way to show you care. A beautiful tablescape, fresh flowers, and a well thought out menu are the details that will make your event a success!
